A Busy Bee at Ohinetahi

Kia ora

I took this photograph of a very busy bee at a Garden Party at Sir Miles Warren's beautiful Ohinetahi in Governor's Bay on Lyttelton Harbour, near Christchurch. Many bees were seen dancing amongst the flowers that gorgeous spring day, about eighteen months ago.

The colours here are favourites of mine...taken from the image, using a tutorial of Angela Cable's for making a matte frame in Paint Shop Pro.

I wanted to say thank you to all those who come here and a desktop is one way I can do this. I hope you enjoy it.

A zip file with two sizes can be found here.

Thanks for popping into my blog...I do appreciate comments in my guestbook.

While you are here, take a look at the other links in the left hand panel...the cards are great, too, have a good look at them, there may be something you want to say to someone and the right card is there for you.

ANZAC Day

Kia ora

Friday, 25 April 2008, is ANZAC Day across New Zealand and Australia. The ANZACs, the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, are celebrated on ANZAC Day, the anniversary of the landing of the Australian and New Zealand troops at Gallipoli, during World War Two, and is observed as a day of commemoration for those New Zealanders who died during the campaign in 1915, and, today, includes the many returned servicemen and women from then and subsequent wars as well as those who died.

The photograph used here is one of a red Flanders poppy that grew in my garden, last year. I managed to get a photograph before all those lovely petals were lost. The poppy seed head was gathered on a trip to Alexandra in Central Otago a few years ago and each year since, many more poppies have grown in the tub.

Our card site has some lovely cards for ANZAC Day as well as many cards for any occasion.

Thanks for popping in to see my blog. Please leave a note in my guestbook if you have time.

New! Touch of Class Gallery now open

Kia ora

Thanks to all our loyal supporters, the Touch of Class Card Site has been a huge success. Unfortunately, we are now victims of that success insofar as the site was becoming too busy and people had to wait a long time for all the cards to load up. Over and above that we also know, from those who have contacted us, that many people were sending the cards to themselves, simply because they liked them.

Well, now we are hopeful that we have found a way to make life easier, for everyone. We have opened our brand new TOUCH OF CLASS GALLERY!!

Here is how the future works - the CARD SITE continues with a small selection of cards which can be sent out in the normal way. You will find brand new cards there also. These cards will be changed regularly so that it stays fresh and worth a visit.

There are many, many more cards in the Gallery, including new ones, which you may not only view but download to your own computer and then send as email attachments, when you have occasion to do so. You can also save them for your own pleasure if you wish. Many of our cards are great for slide shows etc. Tips on doing that one day soon. In the gallery, check out our Latest Addition section, to see the newest cards.

There is much more to Touch of Class than cards! In the gallery you can see lots of our own photographs, some of our graphic work and links to our individual blogs. We each have many more goodies for sharing - desktops, etc. For the creative amongst you, Judy has some stunning scrap kits to share. We also have a guest book.

In order to safeguard the card section of the gallery from other card creators we have password protected it. Helps us to know who has access. To acquire the password simply email Chris.

One request - we need help to let the world know that we have so much for sharing and all free of charge. Please drop a line - or the link to this message - to your friends - the more people using our creations the more we are encouraged to continue making them.

Thanks everyone. Ready to enjoy the Gallery? Click here.

A Touch of Autumn

Kia ora

It is Autumn in this part of the world, and I've been playing with ideas for an Autumn desktop for a few days now...finally coming up with one, which, unfortunately, I've had to remove so will find another that I am able to use.

I apologise for any inconvenience.
